Fable II Getting Online Co-op Patch at Launch

October 20th, 2008 Posted in Action, Adventure, News, RPG, Xbox 360 by Will Prusik

One of the most interesting facets of Fable II was the co-op play. Whether you were hoping to sit on the couch next to a friend/relative and swashbuckle your way across Albion or team up with a buddy from across the country and slaughter hordes of Hobbes it was an exciting proposition.

Unfortunately it was made known that the online co-op feature wouldn’t be shipping with the disc. It’d be some unknown interval of time before you’d be able to play with a friend who wasn’t within arms reach. Microsoft assured worried fans that the patch would be out within a week of the game’s launch, while Peter Molyenux told the public that he was ‘almost certain’ the patch would be out on launch day.

Turns out he was right.
