Far Cry 2 Sells a Million

Despite being radically different from the original, Far Cry 2, relying on its brand power, has sold over a million units worldwide since it was released in the third week of October.
"[Far Cry 2] is well on track to achieve our expectations for the year," said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot. "The holiday quarter is off to a solid start with the successful launch."
The ailing PC format, which many speculated would die soon, saw the game break into the retail sales chart, topping it, in fact, during the week of its release. No hard numbers were given though. Console numbers aren’t known either, but a similar level of sales performance is expected, too.
