Codemasters Acquires Swordfish, Too

November 14th, 2008 Posted in Business by Rajiv Ashrafi

776691334 Days after Monumental Games had purchased the Manchester branch of Swordfish Studios, the developer of the 50 Cent games, Codemasters has announced its acquisition of the Birmingham branch of the same studio.

The studio was a former property of Sierra Entertainment and has been sold by Activision Blizzard as it does not bode well with their future plans for the company.

Codemasters noted that it will put the studio to work immediately on its “development operations” and that they will be using the publisher’s proprietary engine for their projects.
