Kalypso Media, who is on a media roll as of late, has announced that it has appointed Bulgarian studio Haemimont Games to develop Tropico 3, the sequel to the Caribbean-themed dictator simulator.
The publisher apparently acquired the rights to the long dormant series from Take-Two and is planning to release the title in Summer 2009.
They note that it will be based on the original Tropico, which was an awesome game, promising advanced graphics, “complex” gameplay and comprehensive multiplayer modes.
I, for one, am truly looking forward to this! Tropico 2 was severely disappointing.
