Call of Duty 5 Outsells Call of Duty 4

No one thought it to be possible, but it has been done: Call of Duty: World at War has more than doubled the week-one UK sales of its predecessor Call of Duty 4.
The game was released last week, hitting all platforms imaginable in the market. No specific per-console breakdown of sales was provided, so it cannot be said which platform was more popular.
World at War was developed by Treyarch; it was built on the CoD4 engine. Call of Duty 6 is being worked on by series creator Infinity Ward for release in 2009.
