Popular import site Renchi that sells consoles, games, movies and various other things that you can’t get outside of the gaming paradise that is Japan has dropped the price on imports of the DSi, Nintendo’s new handheld. “While many retailers are still selling at a much higher price, our stock level has stablised and we choose to pass the savings back to the consumers” said a spokesperson for the company.
It’s still a hefty $249 to buy the handheld, but with a holiday season fast approaching this could be well timed to grab a load of customers who don’t mind the Japanese interface especially since DS games are region-free. Unfortunately if you’re looking for any funky colors you’ll have to look elsewhere as the DSi only comes in white and black at the moment.

M3 DS Real Help

1While DS games are region-free unfortunately DSi games are not going to be, Boo to Nintendo!. So people take care when importing DSi units ‘cos you might not be able to play local bought games on it. I have read some flash carts work on the DSi, like the Acecard and I think M3DSreal.
