One of the cool yet optional benefits of the New Xbox Experience is that gamers can choose to install data from their games directly to their hard drive, cutting down on load times and reducing the consoles’ noise level while running as it cuts down on the need to spin the disc. Unfortunately as with most new things the NXE is coming across some snags.
Bungie has put out a statement warning gamers not to install Halo 3 onto their hard drive. Due to a technical error this actually makes the maps load significantly slower. They mention that this tradeoff may be worth it if you only plan to play the campaign or offline modes but installing the game to the hard drive will negatively affect the experiences of everyone you play with on Xbox Live.
