It wasn’t confirmed until now, but you can mark your calendar now: DC Universe Online, the upcoming MMO based on the DC Comics franchise, won’t hit retail until sometime around early 2010, according to the game’s lead writer.
Speaking with MTV, comics writer Geoff Johns commented on the game’s release date: “It launches I think in early 2010, it could be late 2009.”
Johns’ resume includes work on various high-profile titles including Justice Society of America, Green Lantern and Flash. He has scripted the overall story and universe of the upcoming title. He notes that players will get to delve deep into DC archives.
