Modders Hack Left 4 Dead 360

While some venture into online gaming seeking the thrill of competition, pitting their wits, skills and reflexes against that of their opponents others aren’t quite so noble. For years companies providing dedicated gaming servers have been struggling to keep things honest. Nobody likes to join a game and be slaughtered by people using maphacks, altered clients and aimbots.

As if fighting zombies wasn’t bad enough, some modders have figured out how to hack the Xbox 360 version of Left 4 Dead. Someone’s created a mod tool that allows users to modify the code, allowing them to change certain values which allows them to change anything from the size of your character to its health.

Some of the alterations seem more amusing than annoying: the ability to create zombies so big they can barely fit between the buildings of the cities, creating endless streams of explosive materials and all kinds of other tricks.
