Wii sells over 2 million copies in November

December 11th, 2008 Posted in Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, Sales, Wii, Xbox 360 by Jeff Baker

Sure the economy sucks, but Nintendo continues to chug along seemingly unscathed with their Wii and Nintendo DS consoles doing extremely well.

It was recently announced that in the month of November, Nintendo managed to push a hefty 2.04 million consoles of the Wii alone. As for the DS? Over 1.5 million consoles. Quite an amazing feat.

And, just to put this in perspective, the Xbox 360 sold less than 1 million, and the PS3 sold less than 500,000, even so the gaming industry pulled in over $2.91 billion in sales last month. Maybe gaming is what it takes to fix the economy, forget all this car manufacturer mumbo-jumbo.
