Bioshock 2 Planned For 2009

In an open statement detailing their financial outlook for the year 2009 Take Two let it slip that the sequel to popular FPS/RPG hybrid is planned for release next year:  “We’re excited about our 2009 pipeline, which will include [many titles]…as well as new offerings from such powerful franchises as BioShock, Mafia and the 2K Sports roster,” said Chief Executive Officer Ben Feder.

Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams hasn’t yet gotten any concrete details as far as plotline, specific release date, gameplay or consoles yet, but if it’s going to be released in the next twelve months we’re probably going to be hearing about it soon. Most likely it’ll be coming out for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 as the original did, but with how often anticipated, ambitious games get delayed, I’m guessing there’ll be a late 2009 release at best.
