Despite Rumors, LucasArts Says Indy Game Still On
Sources are reporting that the Indiana Jones game under development by LucasArts has been canned. LucasArts however is countering these rumors, saying that the studio “remains absolutely committed to the Indiana Jones franchise. While we are aware that fans have been eagerly awaiting additional information on the upcoming game, they can rest assured that details are forthcoming.”
As you might imagine it’s hard to say exactly what’s going on with the game but with LucasArts’ propensity for sticking with their major IPs it’s likely that fans will still see an Indiana Jones game. It might be even longer than expected, because one possible reason for the rumors that the project has been scrapped is that in a way the rumors are true. It could be that the game has gone back to the drawing board in its current form and has to be redesigned from the ground up.
