January 15th, 2009 Posted in Action, FPS, PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 by Rajiv Ashrafi

Through a post on his website, fantasy author Graham Joyce has revealed his involvement with the development of Doom 4.

“I’ll also be working on the computer game Doom 4 for ID Software,” reads the post. “I’ve been playing Doom for some years.”

Joyce is known for such novels as “How to Make Friends with Demons” and “The Tooth Fairy: A Novel”. He wouldn’t offer any details on his involvement in the game, other than the fact that “ID have hired me to help develop the storyline potential”.

Id Software has already mentioned that the sequel will be quite different from Doom 3. It will make use of their Tech 5 engine that’s powering Rage, their upcoming multiplatform title.
