Sony Ericsson Not to Make PSP Phones
Sony Corp. has denied the use of its PlayStation brand in future Sony Ericsson phones. That means we won’t see a PSP Phone soon although we’d love to get one. And Sony should really consider getting its PSP magic out there in the phone business. Nokia has more and more N-Gage games coming out for its smartphones while the iPhone and the iPhone touch have great potential for gaming.
Sony Ericsson has presented the PSP Phone idea in December but Sony doesn’t seem ready to share one of its most famous brands. A Sony Ericsson spokesman said that
In the past, we have been keen that our product proposition lives up to brand promise, and we feel at the moment the technical specs are not high enough to put such a prestigious brand on a phone.
That’s a nice way to present Sony’s denial. But let’s not forget that neither Sony nor Sony Ericsson aren’t doing that well right now. Maybe a fresh product like a PSP Phone will cover some of their losses.

I wouldn’t still write off the fact that Sony wouldn’t make a PSP phone, I’m sure there is a market out there. Just look at mobile phone game sales. The are increasing every year 10 fold! Sony would be stupid not to tap into this!

its a hard market to break into thats why i think they are not going do it, I mean sony are pretty much top in video game sector but they lag behind quite alot in the cell phone sector.
