Touch-screen PSP Coming?
While the PSP is certainly not a failure, it failed to make a dent in the success of the Nintendo DS, with its touch-screen gameplay. Keeping that in mind, Sony might be looking into developing the successor with a touch-screen built-in if a Sony-issued survey is true.
PSP Fanboy claims that the survey mentions touch-screen controls, which has now gained traction due to the success of the DS and iPhone, along with increased storage, a smaller profile, social networking, book downloads and more.
It can be noted that Sony has so far released two hardware revisions to the PSP, giving it a smaller, lighter frame and a better display, among other things. The company has gone on record to mention that it is not working on a PSP successor, but if this survey is true, then they most certainly are.
