Under Arms Review–Could Use Some Deodorizing
So while tooling around on Miniclip, I found a new game for you guys–Under Arms. And if you’re a fan of the first person shooter, this might be one to try.
In the grandest Wolfenstein tradition, you once again take on a legion of Generic Nazis in the midst of World War II, and you’re out to collect documents scattered throughout a Nazi base. I know, it sounds pretty similar to a lot of other first person shooters out there.
The plot is flimsy at best, and really only a justification to have you roam around a Nazi base with a variety of weapons blasting anything that walks into frame. And the controls are a bit twitchy, too–you use your mouse to aim and your keyboard to move around, and the mouse’s aiming can be pretty sensitive. One slight twitch can send your gun barrel swinging around from one side of the screen to another.
So really, this is not the best of games. But if you’re really fond of first person shooters and you want one for free, then you could probably do a lot worse.
