Radeon 4890 listed at online retailers

ATI’s upcoming high end graphics card, the Radeon HD 4890, is beginning to appear at online retailers. The new card, which is based on the architecture of the very successful 4870/4850 series, is clocked at a higher speed; 850 MHz and has a faster memory as well, at 3.9 GHz (GDDR5).
The new card is supposed to compete with the Nvidia’s new refresh of cards, at least until both companies release their next generation graphics chips later this year. The new card is listed from 260 Euros to 280 Euros at select retailers. It’s expected to be released (and announced) later this month.
