Microsoft laughs at Nintendo, showcases Project Natal
When the Wii was first revealed the world was amazed by its intuitive motion sensing Wiimote but how about removing the controller and instead using your whole body? That’s exactly what Microsoft has introduced to the gaming world with Project Natal.
Unveiled yesterday during their E3 conference, Project Natal utilizes a 3D camera placed under your TV to let you use your entire body to play games like featured in the above debut trailer. But it doesn’t stop there, Project Natal also features facial regonition so when you put your face in front of the camera you’ll be automatically signed in.
Sounds cool? That’s because it is, Project Natal will introduce a whole new way to play games and effectively blow Nintendo out of the water. That is, if it is priced so consumers can actually afford it.

Did Microsoft actually “Laugh” at Nintendo?
It’s nothing more then TrackerIR only full movement, there’s no buttons or anything at all. How many games can you actually play without ANY buttons? Just like they showed, racing, maybe bowling, etc… the idea seems great and has potential for those types of games, but it’s not gonna blow Nintendo out of the water any time soon.
PS – Not all gamers have the room to be moving around (like myself) and watching the kid jump and skateboard seems more dangerous then flying Wiimotes.

I dont understand the negativity that I am seeing around the net… I am a girl and as interesting as the games were that my bf plays, it seemed silly and pointless that you’d have to punch buttons on a controller to throw punches and fight. I’d rather have to actually physically move. I was super happy with wii, till I realized that I really did not have to move my arm, just my wrist to make it work. I’ve been waiting for something like this to come along! Now maybe all those pasty faced, repetitive stress injured gamers will actually get a decent workout…
My prediction: A LOT of women are going to buy this thing you heard it here first

Sincerely WII did not make me mad, just because when I’m playing a game I just want to relax. Use my brain is enough. And I for real gamers the only Physical needed to be done is the movement of the fingers. Even we will prefer no movements. Really Great innovation in Gaming could be just play games if the mind, meaning controlling everything with just your thoughts.
