The band / musician gets paid to license their music on the games, so they are benefitting two-fold -- 1. they are getting royalties for their songs being used, and 2. their music is hitting a wide range of potential fans for their music. What about the bands that "sell out" when they allow their songs to be used for commercials / selling product? It's quite hypocritical for these folks to complain about these types of things but have no problem sticking their hand out for the pay check. I wish I had such problems.
