Trine preorder goes up, offers bonus; confusion over release date

June 27th, 2009 Posted in Action, PC

trine Having released an awesome demo for the upcoming action-platformer Trine, developer Frozenbyte sent over word that the PC version of the game is now available for preorder on Steam.

The game will cost $30 on Steam – a savings of $10 off the retail price tag – and will also include a free copy of the studio’s co-op, run-and-gun shooter Shadowgrounds as a preorder bonus.

However, don’t mark your calendars yet, as there is still some confusion over the release date: publisher Nobilis announced a July 3 date, though some retailers are listing it for July 10.

If you’re a console gamer, you’re in luck as the PS3 version is expected to be released in a couple of weeks. Xbox 360 gamers will have to wait a while longer as it is due out on Xbox Live Arcade later this year.
