Modern Warfare 2 server petition reaches 100,000 signatures

People are really upset about Modern Warfare 2’s lack of dedicated servers. How upset? We’ll, an online petition has attracted over 100,000 signatures — in fact, it’s at almost 110,000 right now.

PC gamers are showing their disappointment, where the biggest game of the year, and the biggest multiplayer experience of the year, will be without dedicated servers, and will only feature the system that’s used on consoles.

    Last time I checked the petition was signed by over 170,000 people. Looks to me that there are a few gamers out there who found dedicated servers where the hacking and cheating was not as bad as Infinity Ward wants to make people belive it is.
    Our clan servers do live streaming to PBbans. In addition to that, we also monitor the language by using Morkeye. I know a lot of clans with the same setup we have. Cheaters and hackers have a tuff time on our servers,that is why everybody else has a good time.
    We all want to have a good time gaming, that’s why we need dedicated servers!

    Here’s a thought:
    Why not make IW waste money by forcing them to produce the PC version? Don’t cancel your preorder but make more preorders at places that will refund your money (e.g. Gamestop) then cancel your preorder once the game arrives. Force IW to make the PC version of MW2 and then boycott it. If we all cancel before it’s released they just won’t produce it and focus on the console side.
