Gameloft still supporting Android

November 24th, 2009 Posted in Business, DLC, Industry, Portable by James

Not a week ago, a Gamelof director said the company, which specializes in mobile games, would scale back on development for the Google Android system, which many phones are powered by. Their reasoning was that the Android marketplace was underdeveloped, and, more importantly, Gameloft’s games were selling 400 times better on the iPhone.

However, today Gameloft clarified that, stating that they’ll continue to support the “second generation” of the Android OS, but still, considering that games sell 400 times better on the iPhone, it’s a no brainer where they’ll put most of their efforts.
