New Super Mario Bros. Wii sells 2 million units

December 12th, 2009 Posted in Analyst, Business, Industry, Sales, Wii by Mark Briggs

NPD’s latest sales charts are out, this time for the month of November, which shows that people’s love for Mario isn’t dying out any time soon, as New Super Mario Bros. had sold 1.5 million copies for the month. Nintendo has now revealed that the sales for North America have surpassed 2 million copies as of December 10.

While Nintendo didn’t provide global sales numbers for the game, it has sold over 1 million since its launch in Japan, and most likely just as many copies have been bought in Europe as well. You can check out our New Super Mario Bros. review here.
