Battlefield Heroes, the rather tame web-based Battlefield game from DICE, has surpassed 3 million registered users, according to the developer, who added that 50,000 new members sign up every week and that over 300 million kills have been made in the game.

To celebrate the new numbers, the developer plans to release a new, free map called “Sunset Showdown”, set on an island with on one control point where the action centers around. No release date on the new map was mentioned.
