NHL 2K10 teaser trailer
2K Sports has unveiled a new teaser trailer for their upcoming hockey game NHL 2K10. The video doesn’t show much, just left winger Alexander Ovechkin getting floored and making an unbelievable goal.
Improvements from the last installment include new gameplay mechanics, enhanced online modes, and co-op play. NHL 2K10 will be released on September 15th for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and Wii.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Republic Heroes launch trailer
The television series game tie-in, Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Republic Heroes has a new launch trailer, straight from last weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con. I’ve only watched the Clone Wars cartoon once, and I didn’t exactly fall in love with the show, but I know there are fans who will enjoy this game.
LucasArts will be releasing the game onto shelves on October 6th, as opposed to a September 15th release announced back in May. The game will be published on every current generation console, including the PC and PS2.

First Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer footage revealed
Infinity Ward has released the first multiplayer footage of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, introducing the AC130 killstreak reward. The game looks absolutely stunning, and miles ahead of the first Modern Warfare title.
I was worried that the single player modes would be heavily concentrated on in the sequel, potentially sacrificing on the improvements to the multiplayer aspect of the game. The first game’s single player campaign was very short, which is in contrast with the multiplayer’s long lifespan which lives on to this very day.
Modern Warfare 2 will be released worldwide on November 10th for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
Fat Princess out this Thursday
After an unfortunate delay, we finally have the news that Fat Princess will be hitting the PlayStation Network this Thursday, according to the official PlayStation Blog. This is a simultaneous worldwide release, so North American, European, and Asian markets will all get the game at the same time. The Japanese version, however, is still being worked out.
A nice little interview with developers Chris Millar and Craig Leigh from Titan Studios can be viewed after the jump.
Fat Princess will retail for $14.99.

The official launch trailer for The King of Fighters XII has been released, straight from Comic-Con. The trailer gives some nice comparisons of the sprite update progression throughout the game’s franchise.

Spore Hero Arena debut trailer
Borderlands Comic-Con trailer
After months of learning about the game’s existence, we finally have the first footage of Gearbox Software’s upcoming cel-shaded “roleplaying shooter” game, Borderlands. The game will feature four player co-op and a good amount of guns, according to the trailer.
Borderlands is scheduled for an October 20th release in North America and on the 23rd in PAL regions. The game will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. 2K Games is calling the game a first in a franchise, so expect more installments of the game sometime in the future.
Halo Legends shown off via video
Yesterday Microsoft let us know that there would be an anime miniseries inspiried by their flagship franchise, Halo entitled Halo Legends.
Today, the internets are a buzz over the miniseries’ debut trailer, included above. As you can see, there are segments produced by all 5 Japanese studios that are signed onto the project.
But wait, during Casio Entertainment’s segment there are the beginnings of a CG swordfight. I don’t remember Master Chief moving so nimbly in the video games. Oh well, let’s hope Halo Legends does the franchise justice and isn’t just an attempt by Microsoft to milk the franchise.
EA releases Command & Conquer 4 debut trailer
The wait between Command & Conquer: Generals and its successor, Command & Conquer 3, was about 5 years. EA seems to be avoiding a repeat as they have just released the debut trailer for Command & Conquer 4.
RTS fans, don’t expect any actual gameplay footage as the trailer features exclusivly what looks to be just cinematics. However, if you’re following the plot of the franchise you’ll be intrigued to hear that Nod head-honcho Kane makes an appearance in said trailer.
EA has no set release date for Command & Conquer 4 but they hope to have it hit the market sometime in 2010. Will the game have what it takes to oust Blizzard’s forthcoming Starcraft II? We’ll have to wait and find out.

Iron Man 2 Comic-Con trailer
Sega’s new Iron Man game looks a lot better than its predecessor, and will hopefully play better, too. As announced yesterday, Iron Man 2: The Video Game will go beyond than just what was told in the movie, but will also expand on the story.
As shown on the trailer, the game will be hitting stores April 2010 for all “major consoles”. The movie itself will be released on May 7th, so it’ll give you enough time to soak up the Marvel fandom.
Expect more details come Comic-Con.
New Katamari Forever trailer, playable at Comic-Con
Sony has released an extremely cute trailer for Bandai Namco’s Katamari Forever today, complete with monkey and turkey puppets. Featured in the trailer are some new game play footage. Sony has also announced, via their blog, that a demo for the game will be playable at this year’s Comic-Con.
The game is coming out in Japan in two days, but will be seeing a September 22nd release in the States. No exact date has been announced for Europe, however the game is expected to be out this year.

Second Beatles Rock Band trailer hits web
A second trailer for the upcoming The Beatles: Rock Band has hit the web. The trailer doesn’t give much except for music, which is the main reason anyone would want to buy the game. A good few tracks are demonstrated, along with members of the band in Rock Band art style.
I am impressed with how they recreated some of the music videos. But I think I would rather have the actual video playing in the background instead of some 3D models.
The Beatles: Rock Band is scheduled for an international release on September 9th for the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii systems.
King of Fighters XII “Legacy” trailer
SNK Playmore brings us a new trailer for their upcoming 2D fighting game King of Fighters XII. Despite European gamers getting a later release date than the rest of us, I’m sure people are still eagerly awaiting the arrival of the title.
2D fighting has never looked this crisp before; the frame rate is smooth and the gameplay looks very promising. How it will compare to more graphically sophisticated fighters of today? Only time will tell.
King of Fighters XII will be released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on July 28th in North America, and a August 28th launch in Europe.
Battlefield Heroes launch trailer
EA has revealed a new trailer for the game, this time with a catchy song and full on robot dances. The trailer gives brief, humorous descriptions about the classes in the game and dazzles you with a bunch of bright colors. Anyways, the trailer is pretty entertaining so check it out.
Already with one million players, Battlefield Heroes is looking to be a very popular free-to-play game. Be sure to check out our review on Battlefield Heroes in case FPS veterans are iffy on the cartoony presentation of the game.
