Buy one Xbox 360 game at Best Buy, get another half off

Best Buy is really looking to give GameStop a run for their money, especially with their latest sale — Starting today, if you buy one Xbox 360 title you will be able to purchase a second at half price. In other words, spend around 90 bucks and walk away with two brand new games.

Currently, Best Buy has listed 231 titles that are available through the promotion including forthcoming titles such as BioShock 2 and Final Fantasy XIII.

PS3 Killzone 2/MGS4 80GB bundle coming to Best Buy?

July 6th, 2009 2 Comments   Posted in Hardware, Industry, Leak, PlayStation 3

If the above pictures are anything to go by, Best Buy is gearing up to launch a 80GB PS3 bundle that will include both Killzone 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4.

According to Joystiq, Best Buy employees have confirmed the bundle to be real and that it will feature a $399 price point just like the normal 80GB system. This is quite the enticing deal to those who have yet to purchase a PS3 and are looking to.

Perhaps Sony is looking to push more PS3s out the door to make way for a cheaper model. Or perhaps, the PS3 slim?

Best Buy Holds Video Game Clearance Sale

Best Buy is holding a large video game sale for most consoles like the Xbox 360, Playstation and Wii today. Prices have all been marked down to $9.99, a far cry from their original prices which started at $60.

Over 100 games are on sale, but if you don’t want to wade through the whole list, here’s a few recommendations. Xbox 360 owners could do a lot worse than C&C: Red Alert 3, Condemned 2, and Devil May Cry 4. On PS3, Pure, Guitar Hero 3, and Soul Calibur 4 are good choices. On the Wii, the selection’s not quite so good, but Samba de Amigo’s a great choice if you like off-beat rhythm games.

Just like the famed sales made by Circuit City some months back, you better get to Best Buy quick if you want to get hold of those games for a steal!

Best Buy going spooky for Resident Evil 5 launch

February 3rd, 2009 1 Comment   Posted in PlayStation 3, Xbox 360

If you live in or around Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania you should head to the local BestBuy and check out their launch event for Capcom’s Resident Evil 5.

In leui of the game’s launch, Best Buy employees will be dressed up as zombies, TV screens will show nothing other than static snow, and entire sections of the store will be turned into a haunted house. Sounds cool right?

Kotaku says if BestBuy corporate thinks the launch party goes well we could very well see more and more themed launch parties. Too bad I’m too far away.

Best Buy discounting PS3 games, too

January 27th, 2009 No Comments   Posted in PlayStation 3

It seems Microsoft’s beloved Xbox 360 isn’t the only one getting some love from Best Buy as it was recently made known that they have begun a promotion discouting several games for the Playstation 3 as well.

Quite a bit bigger list than that of the Xbox 360 with Resistance: Fall of Man and MotorStorm marked down to $24.99, while Bioshock, Dangerous Hunts 2009, and Hell’s Highway  get marked to $29.99.

That’s not all though NBA 2K9, Call of Duty: World at War, Shaun White Snowboarding, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, and Tom Clancy’s Endwar are all getting a reduced price of $39.99.

Just like the Xbox 360 promotion there is no telling when this will end so if you plan on getting any of these games you better do it soon.

Best Buy discounts Xbox 360 games

January 26th, 2009 4 Comments   Posted in Microsoft, Xbox 360

It’s no surprise the economy isn’t exactly at it’s peak right now, and trust me I’m getting damn sick of hearing how horrible it is too. Best Buy probably doesn’t care if you’re sick of hearing it or not but who cares because they have recently introduced a new reduced price on several Xbox 360 games for a limited time.

The sale includes Halo 3, NBA 2K9, Shaun White Snowboarding, Midnight Club Los Angeles, and Tom Clancy’s EndWar all marked down from $59.99 to $39.99, not a bad deal if you ask me.

While they don’t list when the sale is going to end, chances are it won’t last forever so you better move fast!
