Amazon.com hold’s father day game sale

It seems that Amazon is following Walmart’s example and holding a sale except this time it’s a bit different, Amazon is discounting games you actually care about.
This is a apparantly a father’s day sale and includes Xbox 360 games and Wii and PS3 accessories. While you won’t be getting these games for $20 a piece they do have Call of Duty 4 for $29.99, CoD: WaW for $41.97 and Halo Wars for $41.99.
While some buyers are sure to purchase one or two of these games for Dad, I think I’ll be picking a couple 2-3 up for myself.

Walmart offers 2 Xbox 360 games for $20

If you’re looking to pick up a few Xbox 360 games but don’t want to spend 60-bucks, you should check out Walmart’s latest deal. For a limited time, online customers can pick two qualifying games and recieve them for just $20 a peice.
Of course, don’t go thinking you’re going to pick up Halo 3 and Call of Duty: World at War for the discounted price as the list includes games like Sega Superstars Tennis, FIFA Street 3 and NFL Head Coach 09. Yeah, you get the point.

Guitar Hero: On Tour bundle for under $15

If you’re prepping to go on a road trip or just looking to pick up a Nintendo DS version of Guitar Hero, GoGamer.com is holding a special event that will have you interested.
Priced at just $14.90, this deal with net you the Guitar Hero: On Tour bundle (complete with controller) for 63% off the normal $39.99 offered by retailers.
I mean common, it’s less than $15, what do you have to lose? You better act fast though as at the time this article was wrote there are only 31 hours of this deal remaining.
Valve drops Left4Dead price 40%

Valve is offering a 24 hour free trial of Left4Dead this weekend, which we heard about yesterday, but it’s only for 24 hours. After those 24 hours, you’re probably going to want to buy the game, right?
To capitalize on this, Valve has announced that they will drop the price of Left4Dead by 40% making for a $23.99 final sale.
This is a great chance to not only try but own an excellent zombie game that was generally well received across the board.
The Orange Box is really cheap this weekend, only 10 bucks

It seems that Valve really wants people to own The Orange Box, having recently announced that they are selling the whole bundle for just $9.99.
Valve breaks down the pricing for us; bought individually Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode 1, Half-Life 2: Epiode 2, Half-Life 2: Lost Coast, Portal and Team Fortress 2 would run you $84.95.
The savings? $74.96.

RadioShack to accept trade-ins in stores

If you didn’t know, RadioShack has been running an online trade-in program for some time now — Due to its success they have recently made an anncouncement that they are expanding this program their 4,400 of their stores. Depending on which items you bring in, which could include games and consoles along with other electronics, you will recieve a certain amount of store credit in return.
Add another one to the “accepts trade-ins” list.

Sounds cool and all but does anyone still play GRAW 2? I mean I’d have been much more ecstatic had something like the recently released Mythic Map Pack for Halo 3 been discounted 20%. Oh well, guess I’ll have to cross my fingers and wait for next week.
Steam offers Tomb Raider: Anniversary for 5 bucks

If you’ve been feeling the need to dust off your old Tomb Raider discs and take Laura Croft for a spin, check out this deal.
Steam has recently announced that they are offering the 1996 Tomb Raider remake, Tomb Raider: Anniversary for just $4.99 netting you a 75% savings, or $15. But be aware, it is this weekend only!
Crystal Dynamic’s Tomb Raider: Anniversary is a remake of the original Tomb Raider utilizing a newer, updated version of the Legend game engine. In a nut shell? Same gameplay, better graphics.

Best Buy discounting PS3 games, too

It seems Microsoft’s beloved Xbox 360 isn’t the only one getting some love from Best Buy as it was recently made known that they have begun a promotion discouting several games for the Playstation 3 as well.
Quite a bit bigger list than that of the Xbox 360 with Resistance: Fall of Man and MotorStorm marked down to $24.99, while Bioshock, Dangerous Hunts 2009, and Hell’s Highway get marked to $29.99.
That’s not all though NBA 2K9, Call of Duty: World at War, Shaun White Snowboarding, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, and Tom Clancy’s Endwar are all getting a reduced price of $39.99.
Just like the Xbox 360 promotion there is no telling when this will end so if you plan on getting any of these games you better do it soon.

Target to Drop Prices on Several Titles

In case you have some money left after your latest Christmas shopping spree then you should head on over to the nearest Target. Quite a few titles will be available at discount prices after Christmas. Whether it’s a Wii, Xbox 360 or PS3 game you have seven choices. Get as many as you want since they all come at a discounted price.
Here are the games you will be able to buy for $40 at Target: Call of Duty: World at War, Shaun White Snowboarding, Madden 09, Animal Crossing, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, and Midnight Club.
