Next Battlefield Heroes Beta Starting Soon
Applications are being accepted for the next round of beta testing for Battlefield Heroes, the upcoming free-to-play multiplayer shooter from DICE.
Those interested in participating are required to log on to the game’s website with their EA Account and proceed to the sign-up form.
Gamers who have already participated in past beta tests for the game are automatically signed up for the next phase and do not need to enter. DICE didn’t mention when the next phase oftesting will begin, though it did note that more gamers will get access this time.
Battlefield Heroes was originally expected late last year, but is now expected sometime in the next couple of months.
Mirror’s Edge Gets PS3-exclusive DLC
Xbox 360 gamers are being shafted this time as Sony revealed that EA DICE’s Mirror’s Edge will get DLC that will be exclusive to its PS3 version only.
“Exclusive downloadable content will be offered on the PlayStation Network,” revealed Sony Computer Entertainment. “PlayStation has an exclusive marketing agreement with EA regarding the title.”
No details were given. The game is expected to hit PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 simultaneously in Q4 2008.
Bad Company Gets Conquest This Thursday
EA has announced that the promised Conquest mode expansion for Battlefield: Bad Company will be released as a free download this Thursday. It will be made available through both Xbox Live and PlayStation Store, offering the traditional Battlefield multiplayer mode that made the series so famous.
The player’s objective is to reduce a team’s ticket count by killing foes and capturing control points. It will be playable online across four Gold Rush maps.
