EyePet delayed to 2010
Bring out the massive list of games delayed to 2010 and make another entry: Sony has confirmed that EyePet has been delayed to April 4, 2010 instead of the original “Fall 2009″ release date. EyePet will still be the first title to use Sony’s new motion controller camera, which is set for release in the Spring of next year. Microsoft’s competing product, Natal, is scheduled for release late 2010.
In addition to EyePet, 12 other motion sensing games have been announced, ranging from LittleBigPlanet to Resident Evil 5, which will receive updates once the hardware is out. Check out a demo of the PS3 motion control camera after the break. More »

EyePet dated, hitting PS3 November 17th
Last month we learned that EyePet would be hitting store shelves for the PlayStation 3 sometime this holiday season with no word of an exact date. Today, Sony has announced that the PlayStation Eye utlizing EyePet will hit store shelves on November 17th. There will be two versions of the game, one without the Eye for $39.99 and one bundled with it for $69.99.
Considering we haven’t seen much in terms of game play footage for EyePet, we’ve included a video preview of the game for your viewing pleasure above.
EyePet coming to the US this holiday season

Despite having the Playstation Motion Controller right over the horizon, Sony won’t leave their Playstation Eye in the dust. In fact, they have recently announced that a game exclusivly utilizing the Eye, entitled EyePet, will be ready for a North American release by this holiday season.
If you’re not familiar with this game it will basically let players interact with a virtual onscreen pet using the Playstation Eye. This means the pet will use augmented reality to be aware of its surroundings and appear to actually be interacting with real life objects on screen.
