The most prominent bug fix is the one that involves gamers who quit early to save their record. Once the patch goes into effect, gamers who disconnect early will be given a loss. Furthermore, THQ and the developers hope to fix lag issues associated with online play along with various other glitches.

It was recently reported on Major Nelson’s blog that Microsoft has found and delt with a new batch of cheaters. Their offense? Using an exploit within Gears of War 2 to artificially boost their Gamerscores. Their sentence? A Gamerscore of 0.

It was recently reported on Major Nelson’s blog that Microsoft has found and delt with a new batch of cheaters. Their offense? Using an exploit within Gears of War 2 to artificially boost their Gamerscores. Their sentence? A Gamerscore of 0.

This isn’t the first time Microsoft has had to step in to thwart cheaters in their attempt at a high Gamerscore. If you’ve been with us since March of last year, you’ll recognize a similar case.

Major Nelson also assures us that if you use ethical methods of obtaining your achievements, as in no cheating or glitching, you have nothing to worry about; your Gamerscore will not get reset accidentally.

There’s nothing that I hate more than games that force you to watch their opening cinematics. Yeah I know, it’s an attempt by the developers to engage players into the storyline but more often then not I just want to dive into the action.

Luckily, Killzone 2 was not one of these games, until recently that is. Reports have surfaced that after downloading a recently released patch, the introductory movie could not be skipped no matter how many buttons you press. Is this just an evil joke by Guerilla? Nope, after contacted by Destructoid they released the following statement:

We’ve had many reports of this. The QA team is aware of it and looking for a fix.

Let’s hope a fix comes sooner than later because I’m sure there are players out there who have been tempted to send their controller flying at their TV screen after being forced to watch the intro for the 50th time.

Apparently, several readers are reporting that after running through part of the game, saving, powering off the console, and then powering it back on again causes some game saves to disappear before their very eyes.

Other than deleting game saves, users are also reporting that the glitch effects user created content. Some users have reported deletion of costumes, and saved photos.

We’ll keep you updated when a patch becomes prevalent.

If by any chance you were worried about starting of poor in Fable 2, here is your chance to potentially make millions utilizing nothing more than the XBLA title Fable II Pub Games, which is 800 Microsoft Points.

Apparently, a glitch has been found that allows you to trick the computer into thinking you are betting 600 gold when in reality you are only betting 60, increasing the margin of profit ridiculous amounts.

The above embedded video will detail just how you go executing this trick but you better move fast because I sense a patch on the horizon.
