LEGO Rock Band teaser trailer
This year’s San Diego Comic-Con has launched, and with it comes loads of trailers. Today we bring you a LEGO Rock Band teaser, complete with ridiculous puns like “Build Your Band”. No gameplay footage was available, so I still won’t be able to know if the frets are going to be LEGO blocks.
The details for the game are quite odd, giving players the ability to “destroy giant robots with killer riffs”. If you’re looking for a true Rock Band title, this probably won’t be your cup of tea; most of the tracks are geared for a younger audience.
LEGO Rock Band is scheduled for a November 30th release for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Nintendo DS.
Second Beatles Rock Band trailer hits web
A second trailer for the upcoming The Beatles: Rock Band has hit the web. The trailer doesn’t give much except for music, which is the main reason anyone would want to buy the game. A good few tracks are demonstrated, along with members of the band in Rock Band art style.
I am impressed with how they recreated some of the music videos. But I think I would rather have the actual video playing in the background instead of some 3D models.
The Beatles: Rock Band is scheduled for an international release on September 9th for the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii systems.
Rock Band Network to allow user-created music

Harmonix is proud to announce that later this year they will be launching for the Xbox 360 (PS3 and Wii support at a later date) what they are calling the Rock Band Network. If you’re familiar with Apple’s App Store, this is the same kind of thing.
The Rock Band Network will allow users to upload and price their own tracks which can then be downloaded by anyone with the game. Users are said to be able to price the tracks between 50 cents and $3 while getting 30% of the track sales.
This is great news for up and coming artists looking to reach a wider audience. But the question remains, will the Rock Band Network catch on like similar services or will it be met with lackluster interest? Only time will tell.
You can check out the service in more detail, here.

Warped Tour, Maroon 5 hitting Rock Band
With the weekend here, Harmonix sent out the list of songs that we will be rocking out to in Rock Band next week. They will release two packs – one from the gnarly Warped Tour festival, and the other by the decidedly mellow Maroon 5.
Warped Tour Pack
A Day to Remember – "The Downfall of Us All"
Bad Religion – "21st Century Digital Boy"
Chiodos – "I didn’t Say I Was Powerful, I said I was a Wizard"
Escape the Fate – "The Flood"
Underoath – "Reinventing Your Exit"
Maroon 5 Pack
Maroon 5 – "Little of Your Time"
Maroon 5 – "Makes Me Wonder"
Maroon 5 – "Wake Up Call"
All the songs are original master recordings and will cost the usual $1.99 (160 MS points) apiece. The packs can be had for $8.49 (680 points) and $5.49 (440 points) for Warped Tour and Maroon 5, respectively.
Expect these to hit Xbox Live on Tuesday and PlayStation Network two days later.
Rockband Unplugged hits shelves

If you’ve been looking to get your mobile Rock Band on today is your lucky day – Harmonix and MTV games have recently released a press releasing stating Rock Band Unplugged has hit North American shelves everywhere.
Priced at $39.99, Rock Band Unplugged will allow players the chance to rock through 41 different songs (with 9 of those available on the PSN) using the PSP.
Unfortunately (or maybe I should so fortunately?) there is no instrument peripheral that serves as a controller for the game; you’re going to be using the PSP’s built in controls for this one.
Get free Rock Band songs with Pepsi
Pepsi has started a new promotion which gives consumers a chance to win prizes associated with Rock Band. The “Drink Up, Rock Out” promotion gives you the chance to win Rock Band 2 Special Edition bundles, tracks, Xbox 360 consoles, and more. If you so happen to drink a Pepsi, look under the cap for a code and enter it on the official website.
If soda drinking isn’t your cup of tea, you can always enter the video contest and make your own Rock Band music video for a chance at an MTV Video Music Award Moonman. More details about the sweepstakes can be found on the official website.

Rock Band Unplugged song list and DLC unveiled

Does your PSP still work? Do you know where it is? OK good because Harmonix has recently announced the entire song list set to appear in their upcoming PSP title Rock Band Unplugged. 50 songs spanning from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s are all included in the list which is viewable after the break.
Harmonix also went ahead and announced that there will be an additional 10 songs made available for download right when the game ships.
Rock Bang unplugged will hit store shelves on June 9th for $39.99. Will this be enough to make gamers blow the dust off the PSP and forgive it for its poor library of games? Probably not, but this game will most likely keep you occupied on the bus, or train, or anywhere else.
