Painkiller Faces Resurrection

April 11th, 2009 Posted in Action, FPS, PC by Rajiv Ashrafi

81601_painkiller_1 IGN reports that old school first-person shooter series Painkiller is coming back to hunt down more demons in the form of Painkiller: Resurrection.

The sequel (of sorts) is in development at Homegrown Studios and not series creator People Can Fly. Homegrown has so far released only Robert D. Anderson & The Legacy of Cthulhu.

Players will be cast into the conflict between Heaven and Hell, letting us, once again, blast through hordes of demons with tons of cool weapons, including the titular Painkiller, of course.

It will offer a two-player cooperative campaign mode, as well as multiplayer improvements and features aimed at the competitive gaming community.

Painkiller: Resurrection is due out on PC later this year.
