Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies hits iPhone App Store

I don’t know about you guys but my favorite mode in Call of Duty: World at War is none other than Nazi Zombies. Sure, the other modes are cool but there’s nothing like being locked in a room with a never ending supply of zombies to destroy. However, the only problem with this is that only PS3, Xbox 360 or PC gamers could get down on the fun.
Today, Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies has hit the App Store for the iPhone and iPod touch allowing for the zombie slaying game play we’ve all come to know and love on a handheld platform. The gave will allow for 4 player WiFi or 2 player Bluetooth multiplayer gameplay with Achievements, Leaderboards and future support for DLC.
All of this can be yours for just $9.99, what are you waiting for?

Rock Band hits App Store for iPhone/iPod touch

Just as we had told you a few weeks ago EA’s Rock Band has officially been released to the App Store for the iPhone/iPod touch at $9.99. I’ve personally always had problems spending 10 bucks on an iPhone app, but that’s just me.
Anyways, the iPhone version of Rock Band will feature 20 tracks several game modes including multiplayer and the ability to play as the guitar, bass, vocals and drums just as we had reported to you previously.
And, of course, if 20 tracks aren’t enough for you, you can always purchase additional tracks through the App Store.

One of my all time favorite RTS franchises is none other than Command & Conquer. Couple this with the fact that the iPhone (and iPod touch) is quickly becoming one of the premiere hand held gaming devices and you have yourself a match made in heaven.
Later this month EA will be putting Command & Conquer Red Alert up for sale on ther App Store which includes 12 different levels and two different sides; the Soviets and the Allies.are they dow
If the above screenshot is anything to go by, this game is sure to be a hit.

Monkey Island now on App Store

After all the teasing by LucasArts, The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition has finally hit the App Store today. This means you can download the game for both the iPhone and iPod Touch.
According to the publisher, the portable version has the same improvements as the Xbox Live and PC versions of the game, including new visuals, voice acting, etc. I’m sure that there will be a few minor differences between the ports, seeing as the iPhone OS capability isn’t as powerful as its counterparts, but it’s still the game we all love.
You can download Monkey Island for $7.99.

Streets of Rage coming to the iPhone

It seems that everyone’s favorite side-scrolling beat ‘em up, Streets of Rage, has made its way to Apple’s highly successful App Store for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The game is available today at an asking price of $4.99.
Of course, I don’t know how much I’d like the touch-screen controls with a game that requires such button mashing but I’m sure some nostalgia will be good.

Portal iPhone port gets caught on video
Featured in the above video is what looks to be an iPhone port of the popular Source-based puzzler, Portal. As you can see, the controls look a bit difficult to master but the same could be said for many other iPhone titles on the market.
While the above video may be fake, the iPhone (especially with the 3GS’ updated processor) could definitely handle the graphics rendering said video features.
I for one would love to give this game a go, let’s hope Valve makes note of this and considers an iPhone port.

Resident Evil 4 headed to the iPhone
The iPhone has proven itself time and time again to be a viable gaming platform so it’s no surprise that Capcom has announced the future availability of Resident Evil 4 on the Japanese App Store.
Unfortunately for us American gamers there was some worry about whether or not it would ever make its way over seas to our App Store. Luckily, Capcom has announced that after Resident Evil 4 hits the Japanese App Store later this month it will then make its way to App Stores across the world.
With games like Doom already out on the App Store along with Resident Evil 4’s recent announcement it only leads us to question what developer will release a port of their flagship titles next.
After the break there is a video demo of the game thanks to Pocketgamer.
EA opens 8 lb Gorilla iPhone game studio
It was recently announced that EA has opened a brand new micro-studio entitled 8 lb Gorilla. This studio will develop games exclusively for Apple’s App Store which runs on both the iPhone and iPod Touch.
EA hopes that 8 lb Gorilla will be able to release 99-cent titles onto the App Store on a semi-monthly basis. The micro-studio’s debut game will be entitled Zombies & Me (trailer above) in which players will take control of Guy as he attempts to protect his grandma from an onslaught of zombies.
Will some of these games be crappy? Most likely, but with EA and 8 lb Gorilla releasing them so quickly they are sure to stumble onto at least one good title.
