LittleBigPlanet PSP title hitting on November 17th

The first we heard of a LittleBigPlanet PSP title was all the way back in February when it was announced alongside MotorStorm. At the time it was only said to be hitting store shelves sometime this year.
However, Sony has today announced that the PSP title will be hitting store shelves in North America on November 17th, 2009.
Sony hasn’t said much regarding the contents of the game but they have said that it will feature a massive DLC library, something that made the PS3 LittleBigPlanet title very popular.

LittleBigPlanet surpasses 1 million user-created levels

Media Molecule is proud to announce that 1 million user-created LittleBigPlanet levels have hit the Playstation Network. As a side note, those 1 million levels have been played a full 244 million times.
This reportedly means that 1 level has been uploaded every 21 seconds since LBP’s October 27th, 2008 streetdate, quite the amazing feat.
Finally, they also said to check the Playstation Blog around August 18th for a new LittleBigPlanet announcement. What could it be?
Gran Turismo, LittleBigPlanet showcased in video on PSP Go
If you’ve been dying to see what the PSP versions of Gran Turismo and LittleBigPlanet will look like, your’e in luck. What you see above is a video demonstration of Gran Turismo being played on a PSP Go.
The video was reportedly taken at Fase Extra where attendees got a chance to place both LittleBigPlanet and Gran Turismo.
From the brief glimpse the videos provide, these games look to have none-too-bad graphics and stay true to their console counterparts. On a side note, the PSP Go looks a bit awkward to hold, don’t you think?

Fans of the Ghostbusters franchise will recognize that the DLC pack will include the Puft Marshmallow Man, all 4 ghostbusters, and Slimer, making for what is gearing up to be my favorite LittleBigPlanet pack to date.
Unfortunately, us American gamers have been effectively left in the dust with no official unveiling yet. Come on Sony, get on that!

LittleBigPlanet GOTY edition to include DLC?

It’s no secret that LittleBigPlanet has an extensive library of downloadable content making it almost impossible for gamers new on the scene to keep up. Well, if recent reports are true, Sony is going to make it a lot easier for said gamers to keep on the ball.
Apparently, a LittleBigPlanet Game of the Year edition will be released for the Playstation 3 at some point this year that will include most of the game’s DLC already on the Playstation Network.
While there’s no official confirmation from Sony, I’d say there is a pretty good chance this will happen. I mean, Sony needs something to fill up those Blu-ray discs with, right?

LittleBigPlanet PSP to Retain User-creation
The PS3 is home to one of the funnest games to come out in recent times – LittleBigPlanet – so I was kind of surprised when Sony announced that the cooperative platformer is coming to the PSP. How will they transfer the user-creation and social aspects of the game to the small screen? That’s one question everyone has on their minds right now.
Keeping that in mind, developer Media Molecule has revealed that it plans on keeping the game’s concept of user-created content as a central feature in the PSP version.
"There is a whole play, create, share component to the game, just like the PS3," said Sony director of hardware marketing John Koller. "They are still working on that, so there’s not a whole lot to talk about yet."
Koller added that they are looking to implement some sort of PSP/PS3 integration, though nothing is set in stone as of yet.
Assassin’s Creed, Rock Band, MotorStorm, LittleBigPlanet Coming to PSP
About time PSP got some love: Sony has announced that Rock Band, Assassin’s Creed, LittleBigPlanet and MotorStorm are coming to the handheld platform.
Not much is known about any of the titles at the moment since they are yet to be officially announced. However, Joystiq reports that Rock Band Unplugged will feature an in-game music store through the system’s wireless capabilities and that its gameplay will be similar to Frequency and Amplitude, Harmonix’s past rhythm game efforts.
Assassin’s Creed will be an “exclusive installment” which hopefully translates to a completely new story or an expanded one and not another port. LittleBigPlanet is being made in conjunction with creator Media Molecule and will pack new levels and areas specifically created for the PSP.
Meanwhile, MotorStorm Arctic Edge is being developed by Pursuit Force makers Bigbig and will be released on PS2 and PSP. As the name implies, it will be set in Alaska.
All games are due out later this year.
