The first we heard of a LittleBigPlanet PSP title was all the way back in February when it was announced alongside MotorStorm. At the time it was only said to be hitting store shelves sometime this year.

However, Sony has today announced that the PSP title will be hitting store shelves in North America on November 17th, 2009.

Sony hasn’t said much regarding the contents of the game but they have said that it will feature a massive DLC library, something that made the PS3 LittleBigPlanet title very popular.

Sony will be at Comic-Con showing off their new portable version of LittleBigPlanet for the PlayStation Portable. In addition to the game being fully playable, Sony has lined up two LBP Super Creators at their booth

As a special treat, LBP Super Creators gevurah22 (Azure Palace) and Darknessbear (LittleDeadSpace) will be at the PlayStation booth to chat with any aspiring LBP creators to give creator tips or just to walk folks through some of their favorite User Generated Levels.

Along with some fun with these famous creators, prizes will also be offered. The PSP version of LBP will be released this fall and will feature new levels and content. This year’s Comic-Con will be held at the San Diego Convention Center during July 23rd through 26th. But if you’re so fortunate enough to be there, I’m sure you already know that.

However, we didn’t know when the pack would hit the States or at what price.

Well today, SCEA has let us know that the Ghostbusters LittleBigPlanet DLC pack will be coming to the States this Thursday priced at $1.99 for individual costumers or $5.99 for all 4 along with some bonus stickers.

As you can see above, the pack will feature the Puft Marshmallow Man, Slimer, a costume rendition of the Ghostbusters logo and of course the Ghostbusters themselves. But wait, there’s only one? What about the other three?

Bethesda Softworks scored big at the 9th Annual Game Developers Choice Awards as its epic post-apocalyptic open-world adventure, “Fallout 3,” received the Game of the Year Award. The award was presented at a ceremony this evening at Think Service Game Group’s 2009 Game Developers Conference (GDC). Bethesda also received the Best Writing award for the game.

Media Molecule’s imaginative user creation-centric platform game “LittleBigPlanet,” which was first unveiled at GDC 2007, was the recipient of the most awards of the evening, taking four awards for Best Game Design, Best Technology, Best Debut Game and Innovation Award.

Other winners included Ubisoft’s hauntingly beautiful update of the “Prince of Persia” franchise, which won the prize for Best Visual Arts, and Ready at Dawn’s portable action-adventure, “God of War: Chains of Olympus,” winner of the Best Handheld Game award. EA Redwood Shores’ shocking horror title, “Dead Space,” won the prize for Best Audio award.

The Game Developers Choice Awards, which honor the very best games of the year, are voted on by developers and created for developers. They are produced and hosted by the GDC and presented by Gamasutra.com and Game Developer Magazine, with the aid of a distinguished Advisory Committee that includes many of the world’s top game creators, and each award is decided by thousands of votes from game professionals worldwide.

How will they transfer the user-creation and social aspects of the game to the small screen? That’s one question everyone has on their minds right now.

Keeping that in mind, developer Media Molecule has revealed that it plans on keeping the game’s concept of user-created content as a central feature in the PSP version.

"There is a whole play, create, share component to the game, just like the PS3," said Sony director of hardware marketing John Koller. "They are still working on that, so there’s not a whole lot to talk about yet."

Koller added that they are looking to implement some sort of PSP/PS3 integration, though nothing is set in stone as of yet.

Not much is known about any of the titles at the moment since they are yet to be officially announced. However, Joystiq reports that Rock Band Unplugged will feature an in-game music store through the system’s wireless capabilities and that its gameplay will be similar to Frequency and Amplitude, Harmonix’s past rhythm game efforts.

Assassin’s Creed will be an “exclusive installment” which hopefully translates to a completely new story or an expanded one and not another port. LittleBigPlanet is being made in conjunction with creator Media Molecule and will pack new levels and areas specifically created for the PSP.

Meanwhile, MotorStorm Arctic Edge is being developed by Pursuit Force makers Bigbig and will be released on PS2 and PSP. As the name implies, it will be set in Alaska.

All games are due out later this year.

Apparently, several readers are reporting that after running through part of the game, saving, powering off the console, and then powering it back on again causes some game saves to disappear before their very eyes.

Other than deleting game saves, users are also reporting that the glitch effects user created content. Some users have reported deletion of costumes, and saved photos.

We’ll keep you updated when a patch becomes prevalent.

Sure, the soon to be released Festive Level Pack is cool and all, but what PS3 owner doesn’t love Solid Snake? While we heard that we would see an appearance from Snaked some time ago, not many more details have come out until now.

Apparently, Sony has just recently listed the Metal Gear Solid Level Pack on their Hong Kong Playstation site, stating that Meryl, Old Solid Snake, and Screaming Mantis will be making the cut. But what does this mean for us?

Well, it doesn’t necessarily mean that us here in the States will be playing as Snake anytime soon, it does assure us we will be playing with him at some point.

John Kohler, a marketing manager for Sony Computer Entertainment America has said that the inventive platformer is seeing ‘explosive’ sales and it’ll rack up ‘big sales’ over time.

“LittleBigPlanet also opens up the PS3 to other portions of the demographic – not just 20-something males, but younger gamers, females, and maybe even some older gamers,” he said, insisting that the title would be “an evergreen game for the PS3″. Given the constant content being generated by users and developers there’s a lot of potential for continuing and expanding interest. He also said that they were planning on it being a franchise, reigniting speculation about a PSP version of the game.
