There will be no more Lord of The Rings games from EA, as they have now lost the license to make LOTR based games and content. The license has expired and has been reverted back to the original owners; New Line Cinema and Warner Brothers.

EA has made several LOTR based games, the latest of which was the mediocre Lord of The Rings: Conquest. According to Variety, EA was given the license until the end of 2008, but was extended by a few months in order to release LOTR: Conquest.
