CoD: WaW PC 1.5 Patch and Map Pack now live

Treyarch Studios has given word that the new Call of Duty: World at War patch is now live and can be downloaded from several mirrors on the official website. If you used Steam to purchase the game, the download and installation will be automatic.
Along with the main patch, Mod Tools 1.3 is now out, in addition to the 1.5 Linux dedicated server bins. The new Mod Tools allows gamers to get started on their own Nazi Zombie maps, so expect a load of fun new environments to shoot some undead heads off soon.
The developers also gave the GGL and Clanbase a plug, encouraging competitive players to sign up for the new PC tournaments. The tournaments’ prizes offer up to $2,500 prizes and Call of Duty apparel.

Call of Duty: World at War 1.5 patch to include Map Pack 2
PC gamers should be used to having to wait longer for their content patches by now, but sometimes it’s a good thing. For example, Call of Duty: World at War’s DLC for PC have always been free.
Yesterday, Treyarch Studio’s community manager made a post on the official Call of Duty forums mentioning that Map Pack 2 will be included with the new 1.5 patch, free of charge. The Map Pack 2 has been out for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions since early June.
In case you haven’t checked out the change log for the upcoming patch, the Call of Duty forums have you covered. There is no planned release date for the patch.
Newest COD Map Pack Sells One Million In First Week
I continue to be amazed at the sheer number of World War II based shooters that can be put onto the market and still perform well. There have been countless digital reenactments of almost every important battle in the entire conflict yet it seems that gamers aren’t sick of them yet. Despite being jaded about the genre, I admit to being somewhat interested in Call of Duty: World of War.
Everyone else is too it seems because Treyarch announced that in the first weekend the second map pack was downloaded over a million times. The $9.99 content pack contains four maps, including Shi No Numa. Yes, that’s right, it’s another zombie level. That’s got a lot to do with the appeal of this game for many I’m guessing. If you’re unfamiliar with the mode, it’s an online co-op mode similar to the Gears of War horde mode where players face wave after wave of enemies, only this time they’re a combination of two popular video game enemies: Nazis and zombies.
CoD: World at War DLC pack sells over 2 million

Treyarch is excited to announce that their first map pack for Call of Duty: World at War has managed to sell more than 2 million copies downloads since its March release:
“This is a huge milestone and we are so appreciative of our incredibly supportive community who continue to play and enjoy the game,” said Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch. “We’re hard at work on Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 and look forward to delivering that in June.”
Sure it’s a good game and all but everyone who’s anyone loves the Nazi zombie feature that Treyarch introduced to the Call of Duty series. And, considering the forthcoming Map Pack 2 is going to include a new Nazi zombie map, it’s probably safe to say it will sell as good if not better than Map Pack 1.
