In sharp contrast to the last set of DLC that sold for $2-3, this round will sell for $1 per pack and will be available later today for Wii gamers, tomorrow for Xbox 360 users and Thursday for PS3 owners.

First up is the addition of Hard mode for those who want more punishment. It won’t be compatible with Rankings and Challenge modes. There will also be the Expert mode… which will triple the difficulty from the default one.

Finally, there a Special Time Attack stage, which gives you an additional stage for Time Attack Mode, complete with an all-new level and Robot Master Boss – “Fake Man”.

Available on Virtual Console now are Mario Golf (N64) for 1000 Wii points ($10) and Shining Force II (Genesis) for 800 Wii points ($8). As you can expect, Mario Golf offers sporting action using characters from the Mario universe in 10 different modes of play. Shining Force II is a classic fantasy game, having you save the princess and protect your country against invading armies.

On WiiWare are MadStone (800 points), Midnight Bowling (800 points) and two new pieces of Mega Man 9 DLC – the Proto Man character (200 points) and Endless Attack mode (300 points).
