Indie studio Paleo Entertainment sends word that its first-person shooter Merchants of Brooklyn will be released through Steam on March 17.

Powered by the same engine that runs Crysis, the game features both single and multiplayer modes. Similar to Crysis, players make use of a prototype biomechanical arm they can use to “tear through the environment and charge fallen debris for use as hand grenades, as well as dismember and demolish anything that stands in their way.”

Paleo was the second studio to license Crytek’s infamous engine. The first licensee was Avatar Reality, who is making a Mars-set MMORPG.
