Now, you may be wondering what the hell does this have to do with video games but Metal Gear Solid fans will know just fine what it has to do. Any bets on how long until Mothers against Metal Gear makes its debut?

According to Joystiq, it will be playable on demo units that Kojima will have on hand along with a down loadable PSP demo. So remember, if you’re planning on heading to the Tokyo Game Show be sure to bring your PSP as Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is sure to be one of the hand held console’s strongest titles to date.

You remember that supposedly leaked Metal Gear Solid: The Movie poster we showed you a few weeks ago, right? Well if The Dark Knight main man Christian Bale is to be believed, that poster was fake, considering it displayed him as playing the main character.

In a recent interview with MTV Multiplayer, when asked if he’s been approached for a Metal Gear Solid movie the actor responded with a modest “No”.

Either way, I don’t think there is any question over whether or not Christian Bale would make an awesome Solid Snake. Get on that Sony!

Just as the ESRB suggested late last month, Metal Gear Solid has found its way onto the Playstation Store in the form of a Playstation 1 Classic.

That’s not all thats been added as Tom Clancy’s GRAW 2 for the PSP and an NCAA Football 10 demo have also made the cut. Of course, a bunch of Guitar Hero and Rock Band songs, wallpapers along with a bunch of other stuff you probably don’t care about were also added.

This E3 has been busy for Konami, where the publisher has announced several Metal Gear games, inclduing Metal Gear Solid Rising, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and Metal Gear Solid Arcade.

It looks like Sony has finally taken a hint and contracted one of their most loyal developers, Konami, to give the PSP’s game library a little wake up call — Recently announced during E3 is Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, a PSP exclusive that isn’t a port in any way shape or form.

Peace Walker apparantly takes place 10 years after the happenings of Metal Gear Solid 3 and stars none other than Solid Snake. The best part, however, is that Hideo Kojima will be diverting his attention away from the Xbox 360 Metal Gear to focus completely on Peace Walker which means it’s sure to be a hit.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will be released for the PSP sometime in 2010.

Seriously, Kojima-san, this is getting ridiculous. Get it over with already. Or get some decent PR people.

Gamers from the original Playstation era will be happy to hear that the ESRB has recently leaked the names of some titles set to hit the PSN PSOne Classics store.

Those 5 titles are:

E3 is just around the corner which means the hype train is in full speed. To add to said hype train Kojima has gone ahead and launched a teaser site for an upcoming project they are working on.

As you can see from the above screenshot there is nothing more than a field and cloudy sky, what could this mean? Let’s hope Kojima is working on another Metal Gear title.

If the teaser looks familiar it’s because it looks similar to the scenery featured in the print teaser ad that we got wind of yesterday. Oh E3, you are so close yet so far away.

If you share my distate in shelling out any amount of cash for iPhone apps but want to give Metal Gear Solid Touch a go, you’re in luck — Konami evidentally wanted more people to get a taste of the game as they have recently released a trial version onto the App Store.

Entitled Metal Gear Solid Touch Lite, the trial will run 84.4 MB and feature 3 full levels of tap-shooting action.

After fiddling with the game for a bit I’ve discovered it to be quite fun but found my finger getting in the way causing me to miss my target. I probably won’t be buying the game but perhaps after trying the Lite version, you will.

It seems that the original release of Metal Gear Solid Touch for the iPod Touch and iPhone wasn’t complete, ending almost randomly leaving players in the dust.

Well, Konami has announced that the game has official been finished and an update has been sent to the App Store for all to download for free

Joystiq reports that the update adds 8 new stages along with new unlockable wallpapers and a bunch of bug fixes.

"Maybe we can do some announcement during E3," said Kojima during a Q&A session held at a San Francisco Apple Store. He was there to promote the iPhone release of Metal Gear Solid Touch.

"I can’t really speak specifically right now," he added.

Kojima is known to have four unannounced projects in the works, with the first due out by the end of the year.

This year’s E3 takes place June 2-4 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

If you’ve been dying to get your iPhone (or iPod touch) lovin’ paws on Solid Snake’s App Store debut, you’re in luck.

Konami recently announced that Metal Gear Solid Touch will be hitting the App Store for both the iPhone and iPod touch on March 19th for $10.

Not a bad price point for such a seemingly robust game.

iPhone owners anxiously awaiting Metal Gear Touch will be happy to hear that new details regarding the portable game have emerged.

An “Advance Edition” of the game is apparently set to hit Apple’s App Store towards the end of this month. Theres no word on pricing but we do know that it will include the first 12 levels from the final game along with an update adding 8 more levels on an unannounced date.

Konami also added that the game will feature Old Snake in locations like the Middle East, Eastern Europe, South America, and of course, Shadow Moses.

I just hope this game isn’t too much money, I have a problem spending more than $5 on a game for my cellphone.

Can anyone say best selling iPhone app of all time?

Sure, the soon to be released Festive Level Pack is cool and all, but what PS3 owner doesn’t love Solid Snake? While we heard that we would see an appearance from Snaked some time ago, not many more details have come out until now.

Apparently, Sony has just recently listed the Metal Gear Solid Level Pack on their Hong Kong Playstation site, stating that Meryl, Old Solid Snake, and Screaming Mantis will be making the cut. But what does this mean for us?

Well, it doesn’t necessarily mean that us here in the States will be playing as Snake anytime soon, it does assure us we will be playing with him at some point.

“The truth is, Konami [had legal problems with] Russian composers who said we stole their music,” Hibino said. “They didn’t, actually. But Konami was too sensitive about the situation and just decided not to use that music in the game.”

The Metal Gear Solid theme is credited to composer Tappi Iwase; it debuted with the release of Metal Gear Solid on the PlayStation in 1998.
