Metal Gear Solid 4 to get Trophies?

March 3rd, 2009 No Comments   Posted in DLC, Online, PlayStation 3

Having missed the Playstation 3 Trophy introduction by a month, Metal Gear Solid 4 has been without those ever since which is not a good thing since it’s such an iconic PS3 title.

Well it seems Konami is listening to the woes of gamers everywhere with company employee Brandon Laurino posting the following on the official Playstation Blog:

On the subject of MGS4/MGO trophies and Konami ID – we hear you. We have been circulating these issues internally, and we will report back as soon as we are able.

Sounds promising, let’s just hope they don’t get too busy with their new projects to forget that MGS4 needs those trophies!

Konami Looking in to MGS 4 on Xbox 360

October 15th, 2008 1 Comment   Posted in Action, Xbox 360

metal-gear-solid-4-portada Ah, the rumor that just won’t die! We all know how Xbox 360 fanboys want Metal Gear Solid 4 on their console but were denied by Sony and Konami. But now the publisher seems to be “looking into” a possible Xbox 360 version of the game, hinting that it might be coming to those fragile white boxes sometime soon.

Speaking to Japanese financial news service Morningstar, Konami’s Yoshitaka Arai stated that the “worldwide demand for an Xbox 360 version of MGS4 is quite high,” noting that it is something they are “currently looking in to.”

Maybe sometime in 2009? Good for those who have a Xbox 360. Bad for none, really.

LittleBigPlanet
is getting more and more awesome by the minute, as Sony announced that Sackboy versions of Solid Snake and Sephiroth will make appearances in the game. The company also noted that levels made in the ongoing beta will be playable after the game’s October 21 release.

As you can see from the screenshot above, the MGS4 hero and the FF7 villain have been transformed into cute sack figures. It’s kinda unnerving to see a smiling, cute Sephiroth, but damn it’s still cool!

"To be involved with [Metal Gear Solid] is… slightly bizarre. When we were looking at what options as a studio we’d have to work with, they were under the ‘yeah, right!’ category of games," said Alex Evans, co-founder of developer Media Molecule.

halo-2-front-page2 Remember Ryan Payton, the very vocal Metal Gear Solid 4 producer who recently parted ways with Konami to seek greener pastures? It seems he has found it at Microsoft Game Studios… working on a new Halo title!

Citing a “reliable source”, Shacknews has posted word that Ryan Payton will be serving as creative director on the new Halo project in development by Microsoft Game Studios and Peter Jackson.

Microsoft’s internal Halo team currently consists of Corrinne Yu (ex-Gearbox), Frank O’Connor (ex-Bungie) and is currently seeking more staff.
