Ubisoft opening studio in Toronto

Ubisoft has had a pretty good footing in Canada with studios in Quebec, Vancouver and Montreal and are looking to expanding that footing even further.
Recently announced is Ubisoft Toronto a studio that will open in the heart of Ontario and create an additional 800 jobs, reportedly over the next decade.
It seems that Ubisoft Montreal’s CEO Yannis Mallat will be the main man behind Ubisoft Toronto and help the studio work on “Triple-A games” along with working with the film production industry which is prominent in Ontario.
BioWare forms new Montreal studio for Mass Effect 2

It was recently announced that BioWare, developers of Mass Effect, has formed a new studio at EA Montreal.
This means they are going to need a whole new staff to work on, you guessed it, Mass Effect 2. A full 30 staffers will get the chance to work on the upcoming title.
If you head over to BioWare’s Montreal career page, you will notice that they are recruiting staff in the Animation, Art, and Design fields. Any takers?
Deus Ex 3 Not on Consoles?
Seeing as how all games these days are going multiplatform, a game that is being billed as single-platform only will draw much attention. Deus Ex 3, which was previously thought be in the works for PC and consoles, may be a PC-exclusive if words from lead designer Jean-Francois Dugas are to be taken into account.
“We don’t know exactly which platforms we’re going to be out on," said. "If we’re to go console we will want to keep the complexity alive. We want the menu interface and controller to feel simple without risking any of their potential."
He added that “for us, console-isation isn’t about dumbing down features”. The game is being built on the console-friendly Tomb Raider engine, ensuring a multi-platform release.
Quite controversially, however, he calls the original title “slow”.
"There weren’t enough exciting, memorable moments [in the original]," Dugas explained." It was aimed more towards a simulation rather than a game experience."
