Op Flashpoint Sequel Getting Pre-release Demo
The game that original developers are so pissed about will get a pre-release demo. Codemasters confirmed this news for Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, noting that the demo will be released prior to the game’s ship date.
Community manager Helios had this to say on the official forums: "Just wanted to confirm that as is the case with almost all of our major releases, OFP: DR is planned to have a demo released prior to launch for all platforms."
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is scheduled for release this summer on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
Operation Flashpoint Sequel Coming to PS3 and Xbox 360, Drops Number
Codemasters today re-announced the Operation Flashpoint sequel after two years, revealing that it is coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 alongside the PC. In addition, the game dropped the ‘2’ from its title and is now titled Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.
Seeing as how Bohemia – series creators – have moved on to produce the ArmA franchise, Codemasters is developing the sequel internally. It makes use of the EGO engine, which was seen in action in Race Driver GRID and Colin McRae: DIRT.
Dragon Rising is due out this summer.
