Pac-Man made its debut almost 30 years ago in 1980 and has seen countless remakes and variations ever since. However, despite being on the market for so long gamers are still working tirelessly to smash previous world records for the game.

The latest record set forth by David Race managed to get to level 256 while collecting every piece of fruit and pill in just 3 hours, 41 minutes and 22 seconds. This is 42 seconds faster than the previous record of 3 hours, 42 minutes and 4 seconds.

So folks, Mr. Race now claims the top Pac-Man spot. What have you done with your life?

New Pac-man coming 2010

There’s no question about it, ever since Pac-man hit the arcades it’s been an instant classic.Well, Sonic the Hedgehod co-invetor Hirokazu Yasuhara is looking to introduce the classic to an all new generation.

Apparently, the series is set to celebrate it’s 30th anniversary in 2010, which is when the new title will come out.

The real question here, however, is if this new title will be an Xbox Live Arcade exclusive or a regular game. Then again, is anyone willing to pay $60 (or $50 if it were released for the Wii) for Pac-man?
