As you can see above, the document clearly states that Hothead Games’ Braid will be made avaialble for Sony’s Playstation 3.

Unfortunately, this is all we have to go by for now, we won’t know an official release date or price point until Sony comes forth and gives us one.

SOCOM has long been one of my favorite game franchises ever since I first played it on the PS2. It seems that a large community of people share my interest as SCEA senior producer Mark Rogers recently went on record as saying that SOCOM Confrontation currently holds the top spot on the PSN with the most simultaneous online connections at any given time. That means it beats out the PS3’s supposed killer app, Killzone 2.

Rogers also went on to say that in reward for the community’s loyalty to the franchise they will be greeted with a patch at some point in the near future. Exactly what the patch entails, we’ll have to wait to find out.

We can probably expect the game to not release this entire month, as earlier planned (despite some confusion).

If you really have been waiting this long for the puzzle platformer, you should probably just grab the Windows version off of Steam. The game has already received a patch and has been out since early this month.

It also turns out that a new Map Pack will also be seeing release today, featuring six multiplayer maps from every DLC released so far; Steel & Titanium, Flash & Thunder and Napalm & Cordite. As for true Killzone fans who already have the DLC, the map pack doesn’t have anything you already don’t have.

Sony has recently made it known that classic games other than previous Playstation titles have made their way to the Japanese Playstation Network.

With Nintendo’s Virtual Console service proving to be quite profitable, it’s no surprise that Sony too would hop on the bandwagon to offer such games. Let’s just hope the same services gets implemented into the American Playstation Network.

Crazy? Yes. I’m sure part of Battlefield 1943’s success could be attributed to the fact that ti was priced at only $15 or 1200 Microsoft Points. Not to mention the fact that you didn’t even have to get off the couch to purchase the game as it is offered over both Xbox Live and the Playstation network.

It’s no secret that LittleBigPlanet has an extensive library of downloadable content making it almost impossible for gamers new on the scene to keep up. Well, if recent reports are true, Sony is going to make it a lot easier for said gamers to keep on the ball.

Apparently, a LittleBigPlanet Game of the Year edition will be released for the Playstation 3 at some point this year that will include most of the game’s DLC already on the Playstation Network.

While there’s no official confirmation from Sony, I’d say there is a pretty good chance this will happen. I mean, Sony needs something to fill up those Blu-ray discs with, right?

We learned back at E3 that Microsoft would be discontinuing their Xbox Originals service to make way for their all new Games on Demand service that would let gamers download full Xbox 360 titles. This led many gamers to turn their head towards Sony asking if they too would offer an extensive library of full retail games for digital deliver. I mean they already offer games like Warhawk and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, right?

Eric Lempel, an exec over at Sony, responded to the idea:

It’s not something we have planned, just because the size of the games is massive. With Blu-ray we can put up to 50 gigs on a dual-layer disc, while [Xbox 360] is still on a 9-gig media. So technically it’s possible, but I think the issue would be, ‘Do you want to download 40 gigs and keep that on your hard drive?

I’ll have to agree with Mr. Lempel, downloading a 40GB game and storing it on the PS3’s harddrive wouldn’t be my idea of a walk in the park. However, waht about the multiplatform games that only take up a fraction of a Blu-ray’s
