Bioshock 2 definitely not Sea of Dreams

Here it is, the official announcement from 2K that Bioshock 2 will be called just Bioshock 2 and not Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams.
While we though that the announcement to drop the Sea of Dream subtitle last month was official, 2K has flipflopped with the game’s title ever since.
Well, no more as 2K’s Charlie Sinhaseni told IGN in a recent statement:
“We name most of our trailers at 2K and the name of the teaser trailer we released last October for BioShock 2 is called ‘Sea of Dreams’. There was talk about adding that as an official subtitle, but we decided to simply keep it BioShock 2. We’re sorry for the confusion, but we’re glad people are so interested.”
Sea Of Dreams Dries Up
To quote Douglas Adams, “don’t panic”. It’s not uncommon for video games to have some title changes between the initial announcement and the final release. Often it’s because they’re announced as Franchise 2 and are later amended to Franchise: Interesting Subtitle.
2K Games has announced today that following “a number of inquiries today regarding the official naming convention they’re dropping “Sea of Dreams” from the title of Bioshock 2. For now that’s the name that the sequel to their previous hit will be published under.
Mysterious Bioshock 2 website appears
Don’t get your hopes up, there is virtually no useable information regarding BioShock 2 on this new mysterious website recently launched; www.somethinginthesea.com.
To the naked eye the website may not even seem to have any correlation regarding 2K’s upcoming BioShock 2: Sea of dreams, but upon further investigation it becomes rather obvious.
If you click on the first picture, pictured above, you’ll notice it bares an uncanny resemble to the Big Daddy voodoo doll we saw dangling in the trailer.
Haven’t seen the trailer yet? It’s included after the break.
