Forza Motorsport 3 250GB Xbox 360 officially coming to the UK

Yet another game inspired Xbox 360 SKU has been announced, this time for Forza Motorsport 3. This announcement is basically just Microsoft coming clean about the 250GB Xbox 360 Elite that we saw appear on Amazon late last month.
Inside the box you will find the 250GB Xbox 360, of course, in addition to 2 wireless controllers, an Xbox 360 headset and Forza Motorsport 3. American gamers need not get excited as this SKU is currently exclusive to the European market when it drops on October 23rd for £249.99 or about $413.
Halo 3: ODST Xbox 360 to hit Europe

Considering Modern Warfare 2 is gearing up to be such a big launch Microsoft and Infinity Ward have announced a special edition Xbox 360 console that we showed you earlier today. Well, you didn’t they wouldn’t give Halo 3: ODST the same kind of treatment, did you? OK, good, for what you see above is a Halo 3: ODST Xbox 360 Elite SKU currently schedule for launch only in Europe.
Unfortunately, there will be no ODST brandings on the console itself but it will include Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and the Halo: Reach beta in addition to a Xbox Live 1-month membership card.
There’s no word if us Americans will ever be seeing this SKU but European gamers can expect it to hit store shelves sometime in early October.

Nintendo of America: No colored Wii planned

While the attractive black Wii makes its way onto Japanese shelves on August 1st, one can’t help but wonder if the color will also be coming to North America. Responding to GameDaily’s question to Nintendo of America if there are any plans to bring the SKU to the States, the company simply said “There are no plans to have other colors of Wii in the U.S.”
Be assured though, this doesn’t mean that there will never be multicolored Wii’s in America; Nintendo is notorious for pimping out the colors of the rainbows on all of their systems. Going back to the days of the Nintendo 64 and Gameboy Pocket, the company is almost guaranteed to release different hues of their console. However, these releases are usually made in the middle of the lifespan of the consoles.

GTA IV Xbox 360 Anniversary Bundle

Believe it or not, Grand Theft Auto IV was released exactly 1 year ago today. You know what that means, right? An Xbox 360 bundle, duh!
Word has recently gotten out that Microsoft is prepping to launch the above pictured Xbox 360 bundle to coincide with GTA IV’s 1 year anniversary.
According to Kotaku, the bundle will feature an Xbox 360 Elite, along with GTA IV, and 2 limited edition stickers; one featuring the game’s logo and one featuring the Liberty City Swingers logo. Unfortunately Microsoft left out the first DLC episode, The Lost & Damned, bummer.
No release date or pricing has been announced but we’ll keep you posted.
Xbox 360 Elite SKU to say goodbye?

Rumor has it that Microsoft is currently planning to return the Xbox 360 Elite to limited availablity as they original wanted.
But why? Well, since the Elite is priced significantly higher than the lower tier models, consumer demand has dropped due to the economy leading retailers to be less fond of the SKU.
When I say they will be returned to limited availability, I mean that Microsoft will take advantage of it’s marketability and use it to coincide with the release of games like they did with Resident Evil 5.
While this is still just a rumor it seems completely plausible.
