Star Wars Unleashes Force by Selling 5.7M
The Star Wars franchise has been a money printer for LucasArts for a long time, but Star Wars: Force Unleashed takes the cake for being the fastest-selling title in the franchise’s history: 5.7 million copies since its September 2008 release.
It can also be pointed out that the game’s demo also set records, seeing over one million downloads on Xbox Live in a week.
The game, while not received well by critics, can also thank its success for being released on every imaginable platform in the market – all except for PC. It was released on PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii, Xbox 360, DS, iPod, iPhone, N-Gage and other mobile platforms.
LucasArts releases new single-player level for Star Wars: The Force Unleased

Sick of all those costumes LucasArts keeps releasing as DLC for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed? It looks like they are too recently announcing that the new DLC for the game will feature an all new single-player level.
Set on the planet Coruscant which follows the Secret Apprentice as he ventures through a Jedi Temple in search for information about his father.
Don’t worry though, if you’re one who loves all the new costumes LucasArts hasn’t forgot about you, bundling in a whole slew of different costumes for your playing pleasure. Darth Maul, Mace Windu, Qui-Gon Jinn and a Lightsaber Training Droid are just some of the costumes you will see in this pack.

Star Wars Demo Breaks Records on XBL

Chances are you’ve already downloaded the demo for StarWars: The Force Unleashed because, according to LucasArts, it has become the fastest demo to reach one million downloads on Xbox Live.
LucasArts went on to say that Too Human had held the previous record of 9 days to reach one million downloads, with Star Wars: The Force Unleashed hitting the mark in only 8.
Not only that, but the demo has been downloaded over 2.3 million times if you combine it’s PSN numbers with Xbox Live.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is currently under development by LucasArts and will hit the Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 16th.
LucasArts: Star Wars: Force Unleashed Definitely NOT Coming to PC
Starting a nice little rumor that Star Wars: Force Unleashed is coming to PC is Pixelux Entertainment, who created the physics in the just-released game. The company’s COO Vik Sohal said: “… just been released last week on the internet, the Force Unleashed demo on both the PS3 and Xbox 360. We have a PC version as well.”
The above comment was made at NVIDIA’s recent NVISION 08 Conference. However, the rumor, as juicy as it was, has been smashed by LucasArts, who was unequivocal in its denial that a PC version is in the works: “I can tell you definitively that there is no PC version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed planned.”
There you have it – rumor started and smashed at the same time.
