It seems that LEGO is gearing up to launch a Prince of Persia themed series of their iconic bricks. This is apparantly a marketing deal that Disney signed with LEGO to promote the movie coming out next April.

Anyways, pictured above is a snapshot of the Prince of Persia LEGO series that was recently shown off during Comic Con and from the looks of it they are exactly what we’d expect; LEGO toys.

If this is your kind of thing expect to see the Prince of Persia LEGO sets hit shelves right around the franchise’s big screen debut.

Resident Evil 5 action figures are awesome

As you can see from the above picture, these things are not your run of the mill action figures. In fact, they come to us from Hong Kong based toy maker Hot Toys who, Kotaku is reporting, specializes in highly detailed action figures.

Only two Resident Evil 5 characters made the cut the first time around, Chris and Sheva, who both come with clothes, accesories and enough weaponry to deal with the zombie onslaught.

There’s no word if these will be released Stateside but I’m sure if you do enough searching you can get these suckers imported.

EA has announced that their quest for world domination has continued as they break out of the video game market and into the toy market.

It was recently announced that EA has inked a deal with Toy Island to produce a range of sports oriented toys that bare the EA Sports Moniker. EA exec Peter Moore had this to say:

“Our goal is to take the EA SPORTS brand deeper into the fabric of sports, and into new markets that allow more people to unleash their inner spirit of sports and competition,” said Moore. “With Toy Island, we’ve found a partner that shares EA SPORTS’ passion for quality and innovation. We’re excited to be working with them to bring to market unique products that are sure to be captivating for young athletes.”

From Hockey and Football to baseball and soccer, this deal with Toy Island will produce an array of different training toys that will be designed to develop correct form and other skills in aspiring athletes.
