However, this video may fill the void as it gives us a look at the controllers history, technology and a brief look at some early software. The interesting tidbit included in the video, however, is the fact that the Playstation Motion Controller will include both rumble capabilities and an analog trigger.

If you’ve been dying to see what the PSP versions of Gran Turismo and LittleBigPlanet will look like, your’e in luck. What you see above is a video demonstration of Gran Turismo being played on a PSP Go.

The video was reportedly taken at Fase Extra where attendees got a chance to place both LittleBigPlanet and Gran Turismo.

From the brief glimpse the videos provide, these games look to have none-too-bad graphics and stay true to their console counterparts. On a side note, the PSP Go looks a bit awkward to hold, don’t you think?

If you thought NHL 09 was awesome, wait until you get a wiff of its successor, NHL 10. Above is a feature walkthrough done by the game’s producer, David Littman, that showcases a majority of improvements that will be added to the game.

A few of the improvements include first-person fighting (which we heard about a while back) the ability to trap the puck against the side boards and away from the opposing team, and the fact that actions after the whistle is blown will effect the actual gameplay.

NHL 10 will be out for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on September 15th.

Website Game-tuts supposedly got an early look at the achievements for Halo 3: ODST and posted it online. I’ve posted it here and if you’re truly concerned with not spoiling the experience of the game I’d advise not watching it. It’s entirely possible that this is something simply ginned up by a savvy hoaxer since things like this abound, but there is the off chance that it’s genuine.

The above video has been circulating on the web showcasing what appears to be an iPhone, and iPod touch, rendition of Team17’s popular Worms franchise.

First only appearing as a rumor, Joystiq has since contacted the game’s developer for more information; the game, along with the video, is in fact real and Team17 will be publishing the game independently (read: no EA).

Unfortunately, they weren’t able to squeeze a release date or pricing out of the developer but we’ll keep you posted.

It seems that a YouTube user with the rather original name allthenamesaretooken has went ahead and captured the entire Final Fantasy 13 demo on film, from start to finish. Great news for FF-heads, bad news for those who don’t like spoilers.

These videos do a great job showcasing the rather amazing cinematics Square Enix has put together for the game. Oh, there’s some gameplay too.

More videos are expected soon from the developer. The game is in development for PC and Xbox 360, and has no definite release date.

The Nintendo DSi has been available in Japan since November 8th of last year but it’s only just now making its way to the states, with a set release date of April 5th.

Well, since potential owners are sure to think “Why do I need another DS?”, an introductory video has been made detailing all of the handheld’s new features.

Check it out, the DSi will be available in the US on April 5th for $169.99.

He cites research studies that show a link between child aggression and video games and claims that the Consumer Product Safety Commission needs to mandate that video game publishers include this label on games rated T or higher: “WARNING: Excessive exposure to violent video games and other violent media has been linked to aggressive behavior.”

Unfortunately for the congressman the jury is still out on whether there’s a real link between them, because despite all the studies that frequently get talked about which link violence and video games, there are many others that show little or no relationship between the two.

Out of all the consoles, the PlayStation 3 has dealt with hard drives the best. Ironically, while there should be less need to make room for content on a PS3, the DRM makes it financially “inconvenient” if someone wants to manage their movies. Apparently, content bought from the Sony Video Store can be stored on one, and only one, PlayStation 3. Users can move videos to, up to three PlayStation Portables. Re-downloading content is something even the Wii is capable of.

There is an exception to the rule. After being questioned about the re-downloading of content, Lincoln Davis, who deals with PlayStation network media relations, said that Sony will allow users a courtesy download if they go through consumer services.

“If a consumer deletes a purchased movie from their PS3, they will not be able to redownload the movie without assistance from SCEA’s consumer services. Consumer service can issue a redownload as a one-time courtesy, as provided by our guidelines, for the title to allow the consumer to go back and download the movie from their PSN download list.”

Ironically, the PlayStation 3 is also the most convenient system to watch pirated content on, if one were so inclined (DigitalBattle does not condone piracy of any form). Sony should keep that in mind, especially since their system’s major updates have been known to be “unfriendly” towards data on the console’s hard drive. When will companies learn that it’s a bad idea to punish people for using their service? The only one who benefits from this is EA, because now they have an example of DRM that was handled worse than Spore’s.
